Nora Galway joined Food Standards Australia New Zealand as the Director, Food Safety and Microbiology in September 2021. Prior to that she worked several roles in the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry including on trade and market access, food safety and biosecurity systems for exports of dairy, egg, fish and horticulture and in imported food safety systems. From 2016-2020, Nora was posted to India as the agriculture counsellor. Nora has a Ph.D in molecular biology and plant science.
